Photo Friday: Lemons. Still.

by Lori on April 1, 2011

Just a quick explanation about this photo.  It was part of a series of shots I did a while back when my friend gifted me a basket of Meyer lemons.  Being a lover of Dutch still life paintings, I found I could create a similar effect by switching my camera’s settings into silhouette mode.  With a slight post-edit adjustment, I arrived at this.  It’s not a perfect shot by any means, but it’s one of my favorite effects.

It has a definite Zurbaran feel to it!
